Zara is hands down one of my favourite shops due to the fact that they bring ready to wear runway items to the high street, are on top of the trends and change stock frequently. Below are a few on trend pieces I've recently purchased from Zara in Barcelona (the best Zara stores I've ever seen) and at the current sale in Cape Town and how I've styled them.
Look One
Army Inspired
The army pants style as well as khaki/beige are really trending at the moment, which I am loving. It is so nice to have a pants option that is not only different to jeans but as versatile as jeans and can be dressed up or down. I initially wanted the big belted khaki ones from Zara but they sold out really quickly and the others they had in store were straight cut which I didn't like. I found these a few weeks later and really loved the fabric and fit.
I got this cute little crop top at the Zara in Barcelona. I love it because it is flattering towards your figure and we all know I LOVE a little bit of sleeve detail. You can never go wrong with a neutral top because you can pair it with all bottoms and dress it up or down. It was €20 (+- R300) and I am wearing a size S.
I paired these Zara staples with my trusty 1460 Original Smooth Doc Martens, my TopShop faux fur animal print bag (Lissy Roddy inspired this purchase), gold hoops and a pair of straight cut, black sunglasses which finishes off this army inspired casual look.

Look Two
Streetwear inspired
Bike shorts are a big Spring 2019 trend which I love because once again they can be dressed up or down, styled in so many different ways and are super comfy! I found this really thick, high waisted, black pair at the Zara sale for R220, such a bargain for the quality! I am really fussy when it comes to the quality of leggings or bike shorts because theres nothing worse than bending over and everyone seeing what kind of underwear you are wearing! These ones also suck all the extra bits in which is a plus!!
This neon green top is the same style as the white one pictured above from the Zara Barcelona sale (in one size up for +- R150) which makes the puff sleeve detail bigger and better. This adds a cute, feminine touch to a plain style short.
I added a black, oversized blazer which is old season Zara, but they always have neutral blazers in store and are such good quality, Balenciaga sneakers, white lettuce hem socks and to tie in the white colour from my shoes and socks and make this look a bit more feminine, I added white accessories - a chunky pair of white sunnies, some pearl earrings and my current favourite accessory, a pearl alice band.
