The slip dress was a fashion staple in the '90s and made a come back over the last few seasons and is once again a staple for all occasions. The trendy sister of the silky slip dress, the skirt version has made its way to designer stores and the high street and is a hot trend at the moment and so versatile. I am sure everyone has seen the leopard print midi skirt of dreams all over Pinterest and Instagram which first caught my attention and got me obsessed with this trend. Wear them for any occasion, during any season and when it comes to styling almost anything goes - keep scrolling for some tips!

When it comes to wearing a midi skirt I think that it is very dependant on the style/cut of the skirt and your body type. For example I have an hour glass figure so I know that most midi skirts make me look bigger than I am if they are not the right fit and if I don't use a belt to cinch in my waist to show my figure. If you have the same struggle a tip is to find a slip skirt that has a side slit, it breaks your silhouette and makes your legs appear longer no matter your height! Also think about using slip skirts to add a pop of colour to your winter/summer wardrobe! Below are my favourite 3 ways to style a slip skirt.
1. Sneakers and a T
This is such a comfortable but stylish outfit! I love the contrast of a feminine fabric, colour or pattern with chunky sneakers.
2. Oversized Jumper with Boots
I love this look for winter! Its such a nice alternative to wearing pants which I find I get very bored of during the colder seasons. I always make sure I pair my skirts with a belt and tuck the front of my jumper in so that it flatters my figure and creates some shape. Adding a pair of flat boots or heeled boots can dress this look up or down!
3. Mules and a Blazer
I used to be the number one hater of the kitten heel but the block heel mules that are in stores this season are really flattering and beautiful - especially the square toe ones. You can still stay comfortable with a block heel but dress up your outfit with an oversized blazer for a more street style look.
